Rivers is an Arkansas local born and raised. He’s played cello for over 7 years and has received training from esteemed cellists such as Julian Schwartz (World-Touring Soloist) and Amy Baumgarten (Principal of the Washington National Opera). He’s performed with the Symphony of NWA, University of Arkansas Chamber Orchestra, the Eastern Music Festival Orchestra, and the Oklahoma City University Symphony Orchestra where he currently attends. He’s performed in the Chicago Symphony Hall and Alice Tully Hall in New York City. Some notable performances include his solo appearance at the 2022 SoNA winter concert, his principal lead performance during a performance of Michael Daugherty’s Falling Water, and his performance at SoNA’s fundraising galas in 2022 and 2024.

Rivers finds joy in bringing the rich sounds of the cello to those around him, and has a great love for helping make wedding ceremonies especially beautiful.
